Add mod_rewrite to MAMP
Skip the temporary Apache 2 install and just download the compiled mod_rewrite.so from Andrew’s site. Then follow the rest of the instructions (I didn’t need to escape the underscores in httpd.conf). Easy-peasy. Good for local Wordpress, TextPattern and wiki installs. Update: Modern versions of MAMP should now include mod_rewrite by default. ![]()
